Albuquerque based artist, Sarah Diddy. She grew up in both worlds of Native American culture and New Mexico culture. At a young age she knew she wanted to be an artist. For Sarah making pieces of work is freeing and expressive, just like talking. To express her self she wanted to continue learning more techniques in the arts. Her education continued into college where she earned a bachelors degree in fine arts at the University of New Mexico. The next stage of her life was to hone her skills in jewelry making. In her jewelry she explores the process through two dimension to three dimension. With every piece she focuses on both imbalance and harmony. She then started to work out a process to make origami paper turn into metal. This would become Metalgomi jewelry her signature peices. With every piece she pushes the boundaries between jewelry and sculpture.
